The Zambia Ecommerce Expo & Conference was established in 2018 with the sole purpose of promoting eCommerce in Africa as an avenue of fast-tracking economic growth. Through this event the regulators of businesses, the businesses that offer e-commerce services, the businesses that use e-commerce services, SME’s that use e-commerce services, and individuals that are looking at starting an e-commerce business are all brought together under one roof. The Ecommerce Awards are held every year with two rounds of voting conducted to determine the winners. In the first round PremierCredit has been nominated in 3 categories and Chilufya Mutale, CEO, in 2 categories. 

1. Ecommerce Innovation – PremierCredit

Ecommerce has revolutionised the transaction process for goods and services while expanding market accessibility beyond national borders. This award celebrates and rewards an innovative tool, product, or service that has changed eCommerce for the better or delivered outstanding results.

2. Financial Inclusion Initiative – PremierCredit

Financial services are an integral part of ecommerce. However, many people are still underserved and subsequently left out of the ecommerce ecosystem. This award recognizes an institution or individual making an impact in promoting financial inclusion.

3. Fintech Innovation – PremierCredit

Fintech innovations have altered the traditional payments system landscape making payment settlement efficient and secure. Fintech Innovations have also been critical in accelerating the adoption of cashless transactions. This award celebrates a Fintech innovation that is having profound effects on e-commerce.

4. Women in Ecommerce – Chilufya Mutale

The emergent eCommerce space has become fertile ground for nurturing and empowering female talent. This award is presented to women who are at the forefront of shaping the eCommerce industry.

5. Ecommerce Leaders Award – Chilufya Mutale

The Ecommerce Leaders Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the growth of the ecommerce industry through diligence, hard work, and pioneering innovation.
